A deep clean is an easy and convenient way to keep your hardwood floors beautiful and your finish healthy. In the deep clean process, we use two cleaning agents and a floor scrubbing machine specially designed for hardwood flooring to clean dirt, oil and other accumulated grime off of your floors. The deep clean process will refresh your floors and will clean more deeply and thoroughly than everyday cleaning. This process is completely dust-free and is often combined with a recoat.
When should you consider a deep clean?
Every six months to a year.
A recoat is an application of a new layer of finish on an existing floor without sanding it. The additional coat or coats of finish will restore a uniform sheen to the entire floor. This additional layer serves to prolong the life of your floor. In order to have a good bond between the existing finish and the new finish, it is essential that the floor be thoroughly cleaned, primed, and possibly abraded. A recoat should not be done without a deep clean immediately preceding it.
The recoat process will often remove light superficial scratches from the floor. The visual difference before and after the recoat process is striking. This process is completely dust free!
When should you consider a recoat?
Four to ten years after your floor is installed or refinished, depending on traffic and wear.
